  • The customer using CAM and iManage turns on the recycle bin in iManage.

  • Create the trashed_date metadata in CAM and map that metadata to only the CAM system. This doesn’t support multiple systems being mapped.

  • Add this to the Documents layout form.

  • Turn on the Recycle Bin slider.

  • Create a search for the job.

    • Search by Trashed date previous to day (e.g. 90 days prior to today) This will find all documents deleted within the last 90 days.

    • Select all results. (This is only for the first time and you don’t need to do this again!)

    • Click the icon in the Actions menu called Recycle Background Jobs (3rd icon).

    • Set up this recurring job based on this search. You can change the interval.

  • The job will run and automatically purge the trash based on the timeframe.

  • The job shows on the Jobs tab in Admin.

  • To edit this job, go to Administration-> Background Jobs. You can edit the interval, disable it or delete it.
