Configuring General Options
The Options dialog, which can be opened from Edit → Options in the main window, allows you to configure global application settings.

NetDocuments | Sets the default DMS type to NetDocuments. When this option is selected, you must choose a region (US, EU, or AU) from the Region drop-down menu. | |
Application Window | Close Button Minimizes Application to System Tray | Configures the close button to minimize the client but not close it. |
License | Update... | Opens a file browser for selecting a license.xml file. |

iManage Work

Search Result Limit | Documents per Search | The maximum number of items Work will return when performing a search through the Import Wizard. By default, this is set to the maximum value of 9,999. |
Documents per Folder | The maximum number of documents that will be displayed per folder in the Export Wizard. By default, this is set to the maximum value of 9,999. | |
Import | Default Properties > Folders... | Opens workspace2foldermetadata.config in a text editor. This file dictates which Work metadata fields are inherited by a folder from its parent workspace after import. |
Configuration Files
As of version 2019.1, all user settings, with the exception of default folder metadata for iManage Work, are saved to a local database file instead of individual config files.
📗 Note: When upgrading from a version of Desktop Import/Export prior to 2019.1, only settings from binder_export_options.config are carried over. |

workspace2foldermetadata.config
The Work metadata fields that are inherited by a folder from its parent workspace after import are defined as metadata empty elements within the configuration element in workspace2foldermetadata.config.

inherit | If set to True, the workspace's metadata value is inherited by all subfolders and documents. |
