Released on 9-Apr-24

New Features

Module

Description

Accessibility

We’ve improved the accessibility on the Jobs tab so that the job names, types and systems are now more descriptive when used with assistive technologies. Where there is a link to a system or download we’ll clearly describe this too.

CAM’s pages will now have a more descriptive naming applied to them so that it is also easier to navigate and understand the content being displayed in the browser.

Auth Manager

CAM now has an updated Auth manager background processor which will help CAM provide updated token refresh functionality, more accurate external system health statuses and other information for dashboards, reports, controls and Data Sync pages.

Analytics

Using Analytics, users can display a list of documents filtered by metadata and the latest version excluding the other versions with the “is_latest” column equal to true.

CAM Commands

The Manage Folder command has optimized response times to jobs and the reliability of the command is improved based on customer feedback.

Directory

The iManage system URL on the Directory tab is updated properly for those migrating from on-prem to cloud iManage to display the right URL, otherwise cloud users would have gotten errors by navigating to the system.

Move

Several fields were added to the checked-out documents dialog to show more relevant information:

  • Document Number

  • Document Name (Could be a hidden name): Controlled by permission

  • Workspace Name (the first available in iManage)

  • Workspace ID

  • Last Edit Date

  • Checked Out By

  • Check Out Date

  • Checkout Location

Move

Moving a document set fails because of declared documents. CAM will now un-declare the document temporarily to move the document.

Service Desk

You can now control the visibility of document names in the Service Desk Document and Workspace tabs based on the public or private security of the document. This permission is called “View Private Document Names”.

Firms can disable this for roles such as Service Desk users that shouldn’t see confidential private document names.

Request Workflow

Types in NetDocuments can now be added to the Request Workflow wizards such as AuthorType, ClientType, MatterType.

Description

CAM Commands

Cloud-31179

Folders not created or linked by CAM or shared to an external group (e.g. iManage) were not being deleted by the Delete Folder command.

Content Mover

Cloud-35416

Moving a folder to another workspace with many levels causes the client matter metadata not to move to Level 2 and subsequent level folders.

Office365

Cloud-37177

Effective March 31, 2025, the Microsoft OneNote API does not support the Application permission type for the OneNote permissions including Notes.ReadWrite.All. CAM firms that use OneNote will need to make an update for the permissions on the Entra Portal, described in this documentation here.

Service Desk

Cloud-36677

Exporting a Document from Service Desk previously did not log the action from iManage as the right Record Type in the document history log.

Source Systems

Cloud-36934

Adding a SurePoint connection to Source Systems fails with a “401 Authorization header must be provided” error.

Teams App

Cloud-36608

Values for clients and matters were displaying “N/A” when users would open the app.

Template Editor

Cloud-36930

Importing templates in Template Editor failed upon clicking the button with the error “Importing templates as a JSON file failed, please try again”.
