Layout
CAM’s Layout feature provides the ability to customize the Forms, Grids, and Headers within CAM with metadata specfic to the CAM tenant.
Forms
Creating multiple forms of the same type supports role-based access. When a user has access to multiple forms, a selection list will be displayed in the upper right corner of the form feature, allowing them to select the appropriate form for their specific task.

The following types of forms can be displayed on a per-user basis in the User interface of CAM:
Document-Analytics. Configure forms of this type to specify which document updates can be performed from the Documents tab of the Service Desk feature.
Workspace-Analytics. Configure forms of this type to specify which workspace level updates can be performed from the Workspace tab of the Service Desk feature.
Document-Search. Configure this search form to find documents on the Documents tab of the Service Desk feature.
Workspace-Search. Configure this search form to find workspaces on the Workspace tab of the Service Desk feature.
Matter Profile. Configure this form type to specify which metadata will be visible and editable for workspaces listed in the Directory tab.
Generate-Template. Configure this search form to find and create templates from existing workspaces, then access a configured Generate Template form from the Directory tab or from within Template Editor.

Out of the box Forms
The following forms will be automatically loaded upon tenant creation.
It is important to review the configuration of out-of-the-box forms. The forms come with preconfigured metadata that must be adjusted for the specific workflow and CAM tenant. For example, in a CAM tenant without the Analytics module, the metadata Lookup Type for Service Desk forms must be set to External to enable search functionality through the API. In CAM tenants with the Analytics module, the metadata Lookup Type for these forms should be Internal.
Configuring the Document Number size
The Document number is now customizable in the Service Desk to expand its character limitation. By default, the character type is a string, with a limit of 17,500.
To modify this further:
Go to Administration -> Layout Configuration
Add/Edit a form layout
Check the 'Where to be displayed' section.
If the 'Where to be displayed' Section is either 'Document - Search' or 'Workspace - Search' you will have a new Type when you add or edit a metadata field - 'Text Area'.
Change the fields you want to support a large number of character input to 'Text Area'.
To test, Go to the Documents/Workspace tab.
The fields with the type of 'Text Area' should be displayed the same way as a simple String input (TextField).
