Product Activation

Upon starting up PowerDesktop, you are prompted to activate the application by either logging in with an existing CAM account or creating a new one.

Note there is no License download in the Litera Customer Center for PowerDesktop, it is tied to the email/tenant of the firm/users licensed for PD.

There no longer is a trial mode to PowerDesktop.

Create a New Account

Select this option if you do not have a CAM account.

  1. Provide your company email address, select your region from the drop-down menu, then click Request Code.

  2. *If you already have a CAM account, click the link logging in to enter your credentials.

  3. You will receive an email indicating your PD account has been created. This email contains the code to continue the activation, copy and paste or type the eight-character code in the Product Activation window. Click Verify to continue.

  4. You will receive an email confirming your CAM account has been created. The email contains your login credentials: URL, username, and password. This password is temporary, you will be prompted to reset it when you log in.

  5. In the next window, type your login credentials and click the login button.

Login with an Existing Account

If you already have a CAM account, select this option and provide your login credentials.

  1. Type the email address, password, and URL corresponding to your CAM account and click the Log in button.

Select a license

  • The Product Activation window will display the total and available licenses and the number of remaining deactivations available.

  • The Remaining Deactivation number is also displayed. This value will decrease by 1 each time a user deactivates their licenses for another user to claim. Once the number gets down to 1 and the last deactivation is used, switching licenses will not be possible.

    • Select a license by clicking the checkbox next to it in the Activate column and click the Save button.

Updating Licenses

  1. Open the Dashboard section when logged into PowerDesktop.

  2. You can open the Dashboard section on your taskbar tray (1).

  3. Then navigate to Help > Update Licenses (2).

  4. The PST or Import or Export License should be checked if it is active and enabled. If not, reach to prosperoware.licensing@litera.com, the Litera Customer Care team, or the account manager.

All new license counts or checks should be done in this manner!
