Requirements, Setup and Upgrading
Download PowerDesktop
The latest version of PowerDesktop Setup, which installs the application and its required components, can be downloaded from Litera’s support site (login required). If you do not have a login, email support@litera.com.
Requirements
Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 or later
.NET 8.0
Microsoft WebView2 Runtime
For any machine that hosts PowerDesktop with the PST Import, Outlook must be installed!
The PST module requires MAPI. You used to be able to install a MAPI component, but that is no longer available via Microsoft, so the alternative is to install Outlook on the machine. End users working on their own workstations are very likely to have Outlook already installed, but where the application is installed on a server, Outlook is (generally) not installed by default. Litera is looking into switching libraries in the future to avoid this requirement.
Whitelisting
The following sites can be whitelisted if you need to based on your subdomain (only whitelist the domain that your tenant is on). We’ve included the subdomain tenantname in front for reference. If licensing of PD is an issue, whitelist the site below with the api subdomain (e.g. api.prosperoware.io)
tenantname.prosperoware.io
tenantname.camuswest.com
tenantname.prosperoware.eu
