Data Sync

Cloud-27132 and child tickets

Data Sync is being migrated from storing in RDS to storing in S3 so the indexing and searching is based on the OpenSearch framework. The workflow is as such:

1. Any running syncs will be paused automatically during the migration.

2. RDS data is read and pushed to S3 files using a background job that can be viewed in CAM Admin-> Background Jobs.

3. Indexing is performed against the new S3 files.

4. A flag in the backend is updated so CAM modules that depend on Data Sync data can read from the new files.

5. Analytics now allows to use the Elastic Search indexes to pull data for its queries.

6. Any paused jobs will automatically continue once the migration is completed.

7. Any failures will be automatically retried.
