AWS Email OTP Setup

This guide explains how to setup emails for content mover using the AWS stack.

  1. Log into AWS and select the region/tenant that you are setting up CAM BC, e.g. eu-west-1 production.

  2. Open AWS Lambda-> functions panel

  3. Search for the etl-worker-v1
    The one being used will be something like contentsyncprod-region-etl-worker-v1.

  4. Select it, and then go down to the Configuration tab.

  5. Go to Environment variables and find the service_id.
    This is the id needed to be copied.

  6. Add this to the website suffix at the end for the aws console for sns. E.g. if your region is eu west 1, your url may look like eu-west-1.console.aws.amazon.com/sns/v3/home?region=eu-west-1#topic:arn:aws:sns:eu-west-1:"somenumber":service_id

  7. After entering the URl and clicking enter in your browser this is what will the page will look like of the topic in Amazon SNS.

  1. Click on the Subscriptions tab.

  2. Click Create subscription
    The topic ARN is preselected, but for verification, make sure its the ARN field on the screen before in the topic.
    a. Select Protocol Email
    b. Endpoint gets set to whatever email or emails need to receive the content mover emails.

  3. Any Error found in the ETL Content Mover, or in the Business Continuity process will send a message on this topic which will be sent in email to the user(s) setup.
