Warning: Settings configured here determine the System and Repository fields used as defaults for the Service Desk on the Directory, Workspace, Document, and Analytics tabs, as well as Dashboards. Only if the user changes the server/repository fields in the API search will the dialogs be populated based on that.

Other Settings

This option allows you to add and identify the domain as an internal domain during data sync. Any email received from the domain listed here will be marked as an internal email. For example, if you add the domain, any email sent or received from this domain (to, from cc, or bcc) will be identified and classified by CAM as an internal email. Emails received from any other domains not listed here will be identified as external emails.

An analytics query can be executed to identify if an email is internal or external. On executing the query, if it is an internal email, the IsExternalEmail column value will be set as 0 (false), and for all external emails, the value will be set as 1(true).

To add a domain, enter the domain name and click Add. The domain is now listed as an internal domain. To remove an added domain, click the x in front of the domain name.

Service Desk

These settings allow global control of Service Desk functionality and layouts.

Enable 2-factor approval for the service desk

This allows the setup of the 2-factor approval process for changes made in the Service Desk. For example, if someone does a profile update or security change, the approver or approval team must approve the change. Or for the submission of a large job that updates or deletes content, this may be a secondary confirmation of the changes.

By default, this is set to No. To enable it, set it to Yes.

Default System/Repository

Sets the default system or repository for users to display in Service Desk searches.

Hide Server/Repository

This hides these server and repository fields from Service Desk searches. Do note it is needed in some cases for Database searches.

Enable AutoSave on Analytics

This auto-saves your query typed in the Analytics window. If a user moves to another tab, the query is saved when the user returns to the tab. The best practice is, however, to save the query once done.

By default, this is set to No. To enable it, set it to Yes.

Skip the bulk limitation

This skips the bulk query limitations with the API/AWS S3 and uses the Fargate processor instead. This allows bulk operations for Analytics, Documents, and Workspaces to process more than 10,000 workspaces and 25,000 documents.

iManage Move operation rules

  • Enable default user for missing author or operator allows users to assign a default user to put into place if an empty author or operator exists on the target system when moving a workspace, folder, or document.

  • Enabling the process to handle disabled users allows re-enabling any disabled user found in the target to successfully move a workspace, folder, or document if that user is the operator or author. This user will be re-disabled once the job is complete.

Restrict View Job

This setting allows the setup of restricting specific users and groups that will only see their own jobs in the Jobs tab. Upon toggling the Restrict View Job setting to On/Yes, a section displays where the user(s) or group(s) can be designated.

Archive Workspace

By default, you can search by Server/ Repository, Database, Client, and Matter. This form is not currently configurable.

To turn on the Archive feature in CAM, choose the storage location where archived workspaces are archived. We support either the original database or a specific target database.

Archive in the same database

This option will not move your workspaces; instead, the security will update to limit the changes that can be made to that workspace. By default, it will be set to ‘View’, but we know that private content and security might not be updated. Here’s what occurs in those scenarios:

Archive to a specified target server/library

This option will be based on moving your workspace to a different database. Here, security will not be updated. Selecting this option will require you to fill out the server and database for your archive target location.

Options

  • If you choose to retain the document numbers when we can, the numbers can be moved across and retained. If an item already exists with that number, then it will change.

  • We also give the option to include document history with the archive.

Notifications

  • Enable Auth Error Notification: This sends an email to specified recipients whenever an error on Authentication occurs. This might be used to notify a helpdesk or IT personnel of issues with source systems.

  • Users to notify: Select the users from CAM to get the notification. Click Save Settings when done.

Jobs

  • Restrict Users/Groups

This setting allows to grant users and groups to be restricted in the system so that only their jobs they submit or handle will display in the Jobs tab.

  1. Check Yes to toggle on the slider.

  2. Select the user(s) or group(s) by clicking the plus sign to load a search or by typing into the box to begin the lookup.
