User Interface

The table below describes the main navigation controls you will see when you access CAM.

CAM button

Click this button in the top left corner of any CAM screen to return to the first tab (Directory)

Tip: When the user switches between apps (User Management /Workspace Management), by default the user will be re-directed to the last visited tab in the app.

Search field

The global search will search for records in CAM that match the search criteria. This form is configured in Layouts.

Click the drop-down arrow in the search bar to access the search options. You can search for MattersJobs, and Users & Groups. The data fields displayed under each search option can be configured in Administration>Layout>Search.

  • Matter- Select the Directory tab to search for matters.

  • Jobs- Select the Jobs tab to search for jobs

  • Users & Groups- Select the Users & Groups tab to search for users & groups.

Type in the search criteria details and click the Search button. The screen refreshes, showing a list of the matching results in the Search tab on the CAM dashboard.

Add a New Item

Click to add a new item with the relevant Request Workflow wizard:

  • Create Workspace

  • Create Team

  • Create channel

  • Grant access

  • Create Onedrive folder

  • Request Access

  • Create Site

  • Remove Access

(All based on permissions and can be shown or hidden depending on your firm’s configuration)

App Switcher button

Click to switch between User Management and Workspace Management modules.

Note: The User Management module is permission based and will be displayed to the user as per the assigned permissions.

Resource Center

In April’s release, a new resource center is added for quick access directly within CAM to new release announcements, release notes, features, support information, and more.

  1. Click on the Question Mark to open the resource center.

  2. Currently, this center displays the following categories:

  1. The Knowledgebase gives links for support, documentation, and expert links.

 

  1. The Product Releases give a high-level overview of the Releases happening and what is coming down the line. Also, links to all release notes are displayed.

Notification Center

Click to view the messages in the notification center. The bell will change to show the count of messages. When clicking the bell, it will display the 3 most recent messages.

User Profile

Click the user icon in the upper right corner of the CAM to access your user profile.

Click to view column sort options

Action Menu

Click to access a menu of different actions you can perform on the current page.

Exit

Click the x icon in the top right corner of the tab header to close the current page and return to the main menu.

Tip: You can also use the Esc key on the keyboard to close any open dialog windows without saving changes.

Edit button

Click this button to view the current record in edit mode and make any necessary modifications. When a screen is in edit mode, you can click Update to apply changes made or Cancel to discard changes and return to the previously saved version.

Administration Button once inside the menu

Click this button (displayed in Administration Menu items only) to return to the main Administration Menu screen (the screen that displays by default when you click Administration).
