Delete Content

It is possible to delete workspaces and their contents, as well as folders with correct permissions in CAM.

Delete Workspace

it is possible to delete workspaces in two fashions:

  • Soft Delete: The selected workspace is deleted from CAM only, but the icon is greyed out in CAM so if it is restored it can be brought back into the system.

  • Hard delete: Delete content from CAM and the external system. This deletes the item from CAM (leaves an empty row in the Directory page) and then deletes it from the external system. There are two types of hard deletions:

    • Hard Delete without content: The selected workspace is deleted from the CAM and the external system, and the documents within the workspace are moved to a flat space.

    • Hard Delete with Content: The selected workspace is deleted from the CAM and external system along with documents within the workspace.

Note: You will not be able to recover data deleted using the Hard Delete option.

Note: When a site is deleted, all subsites will also be deleted. CAM does not currently support the option to archive sites.

You can delete workspaces via the UI or through a CSV upload.

Delete a workspace from the UI

  1. Go to Directory Tab.

  2. Select a matter. The matter details page displays all the configured External and Default systems attached to the matter.

  3. Click hamburger menu and select Modify Content. This opens the Modify Content dialog to delete workspace.

Delete a workspace through a CSV

  1. Go to the Jobs tab.

  2. Click the hamburger menu and select Upload CSVs.
