User Provisioning

User provisioning is a type of identity management in which access rights and authorization privileges are granted and monitored. Provisioning is defined by user objects such as members, vendors, user attributes, and so on. Email, database access, and network access are examples of services that may be provided. User provisioning is identified by configuring role-based access control. Permissions, roles, groups, and users are the most common components of role-based access control. A user is assigned to a group or groups, a group is assigned to roles (for example, read-only, editor, or administrator), and a role is made up of different permissions. User provisioning is generally managed by IT and administrators.
