Email Templates
Note: The Email/Excel template for the notification Email Template can be configured using the link given.
Access Email Templates
In the Administration tab, select Email Templates
Click the above icon or click the x at the top right corner, to return to the Administration menu.
Add or Edit a Template
Click the New Template button.
In the window for Add Template, type information in the provided fields, based on the table below, then click Save.
Field | Description |
---|---|
HTML template | Select this tab to configure an Email template. This is a required field. |
Template Name | Enter a name for the email template. This name will be displayed when selecting the template in the Email template drop-down. This is a required field. |
Query Type | Select the query type for which you want to this template to be available. This is a required selection. |
Email Subject | Enter a subject line for the email. This is a required field. |
Email Body | Enter the content for the email body. The text can be formatted with the format options available in the Email Body panel. This is a required field. Note: Tokens can be used to replace with actual values in the email. Tokens are case sensitive. Metadata used as token should be mapped in CAM. Check email template sample below. |
Excel template | Select this tab to configure an Excel template to share the query results. |
Template Name | Enter a name for the template. This name will be displayed when selecting the template in the Email template drop-down. This is a required field. |
Select a File | Click to browse and select an Excel template. |
Query Type | Select the query type for which you want to this template to be available. This is a required selection. |
Below is what a template may look like with the following options
The list of information is displayed in the following columns:
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Template | Displays the template name above. |
Query Type | Displays the query type for which the template is available. E.g. Request workflow means it is a notification which is processed when a workflow is completed. |
Table Columns | Pick the metadata columns you want included in a dynamic table attached to the notification. E.g. if a user processes a workflow for a workspace, that the table columns would be metadata for that item(s). |
Email Subject | Subject line of the email |
File Type | Available for New Creation only. Displays the template file type (HTML / Excel). |

Edit Notification Template | View the Edit option in the Actions menu. |
Delete Notification Template | View the Delete option in the Actions menu. |

Scheduling Notifications
Automated email notifications, such as alerts for failed jobs to administrators, can be set up under the Job tab's Notification option using a configured email template.
Select a configured email template.
Configure it as per this instruction: Jobs | Notification
Note: You need to have an email template configured first.
