Move Folder/Document

Overview

The Move Folder/Document command allows the user to move a folder or document to another workspace within iManage.

Options

  1. Right-click in Desksite, Filesite, or iManage work to display the commands.

  2. Select Move Folder/Document to select what object to move.

The following screen opens, and the options can be selected to move a document or folder.

  1. Select Target: Pick the Target Workspace by clicking the button.

  2. Retain Document Numbers: If yes is selected, the numbers on the document will be retained from the source.

  3. Option: This is the action to perform on the folder or document. Either Move, Copy, or Add Reference is available.

  4. Copy history of documents: This allows you to bring over document history with the move or copy.

  5. Security: Either the source security is retained or the target security is kept.

  6. Metadata: Either the source metadata is retained or the target metadata is kept.

  7. Move all versions of documents: When set to yes, all versions are moved, when set to no, only the latest version is moved.

  8. Click Submit when completed.
