June 2025 Releases

Accessibility

We improved the accessibility of CAM by adding more detailed labeling of controls, actions, and page fields to give accurate information on what these objects do or show.

Account Management

In Account Management, we now have implemented displaying groups that have a null “group_type”. Sometimes imported groups may have a null value, and this fixes the problem of those groups not being displayed.

Administration

Firms can now add and maintain restricted clients or matters that will be hidden only within CAM’s Service Desk tabs. Clients can have confidential work that only needs to be visible by a subset of the matter team, or admins only.

Data Sync

Data Sync now showcases the ability for users to see detailed job information on the objects that failed to sync, and for users to retry from there those failures directly. Users don’t have to switch tabs to go to the Jobs tab to rerun a job or read the log information.

Jobs Tab

The Jobs feature was enhanced to grant job restrictions so that certain users or groups can only see their own jobs, rather than the full list.

Manage Folder

The Manage Folder command on the Workspaces tab is now controlled by the same permission that controls the command’s visibility on the Directory tab, allowing it to be hidden from specific roles.

Move

The Move command now supports moving multiple documents from a folder or workspace. This wasn’t previously supported, but now is.

May 2025 Releases

Accessibility Updates

More detailed and descriptive labels and headers were added to pages to assist with accessibility readers in CAM across many of the tabs.
Dropdowns in Template Editor were converted to a select listbox element to comply with accessibility standards.
We’ve added more accessibility labels on fields and placeholders on the Jobs tab, Template Editor, and Request Workflow to give users more details on buttons and their actions.
The checkboxes on the Analytics and Documents tabs now have labels, so assistive technologies can give users a description and detail of the items to be selected.

Client Stacks iManage Dynamic Credential Update

The client stack codebase, Authentication Manager, and iManage Registration APIs were updated to support dynamic iManage Client credentials. The recent changes in the iManage mobility API require new validation of client IDs and secrets during authentication.

iManage Token Refresh Improvements

We’ve improved the iManage token refresh timing, as it was unnecessarily being refreshed every 10 minutes, now it refreshes every 20 minutes, after 3 hrs, and before the iManage token expiry timeframe.

Service Desk Manage Folder Command Addition

The Manage Folder CAM Command was added to the Workspaces tab as a command and is visible when a single workspace is selected for iManage or NetDocuments.

Permission Updates

The C2 /Business Continuity Add-on plan was updated to remove un-necessary permissions not needed for a Business Continuity user.
New permissions are added for all licenses so users can edit or view restricted matters and clients. This feature will be rolled out next month.

April 2025 Releases

Accessibility Updates

· We’ve added more detailed labeling of controls, action buttons and within the common menu header to give accurate information of what the controls and actions do. These additions are in the main CAM navigation bar, the Jobs tab, Controls Center, and Request Workflow. We’ve also updated the Forgot your Password screen tooltips and identifiers.

· We’ve improved the accessibility on the Jobs tab so that the job names, types and systems are now more descriptive when used with assistive technologies. Where there is a link to a system or download we’ll clearly describe this too.

· CAM’s pages will now have a more descriptive naming applied to them so that it is also easier to navigate and understand the content being displayed in the browser.

Analytics Version Reporting

· Using Analytics, users can display a list of documents filtered by metadata and the latest version excluding the other versions.

Authentication Manager Processor Update

· CAM now has an updated Auth manager background processor which will help CAM provide updated token refresh functionality, more accurate external system health statuses and other information for dashboards, reports, controls and Data Sync pages.

Content Move Property Additions

· When moving a document, folder, or workspace, the email profile properties are included with the object being moved to the target location.

Data Sync Improvements

· If a sync worker is stuck in the Running state, the change event processor will now automatically reset itself, to continue running the incremental sync and process new changes.

Directory Tab iManage updates

· The iManage system URL on the Directory tab is updated properly for those migrating from on-prem to cloud iManage to display the right URL, otherwise cloud users would have gotten errors by navigating to the system.

iManage External System Package Update

· An updated Basic package is updated for the iManage External System Configuration to support dynamic iManage Client credentials. The recent changes in the iManage mobility API require new validation of client IDs and secrets during authentication.

Manage Folder Icon Updates

· The Manage Folder icon has been updated to address icon issues in the Directory tab, CAM Commands section and the iManage Work panel.

· The Manage Folder command has optimized response times to jobs and the reliability of the command is improved based on customer feedback.

Moving Checked Out Documents

· Several fields were added to the checked-out documents dialog to show more relevant information

Request Workflow Modifications

· Workflows in CAM were incorrectly allowing external users to search for clients and matters that should have been excluded based on a control. We’ve resolved this where if an exclusion control is in place, both internal and external users will be checked.

· Types in NetDocuments can now be added to the Request Workflow wizards such as AuthorType, ClientType, MatterType.

Service Desk Document Visibility Update

· You can now control the visibility of document names in the Service Desk Document and Workspace tabs based on the public or private security of the document. This permission is called “View Private Document Names”.

· Firms can disable this for roles such as Service Desk users that shouldn’t see confidential private document names.

March 2025 Releases

Analytics Improvements

Activity Action codes in the document history results now will display the friendly name of the action with the code returned in queries.
iManage and NetDocuments users will not be forced to include empty columns in their analytics report if the columns are not necessary for the system.

Metadata Changes

Entering new metadata will restrict users from inputting non-alpha-numeric characters except the underscore, that are unsupported to be used.

Move Tier Feature Updates

Whenever a document is moved and the author or operator is not present in the target location, CAM now will allow a default global user to be set from the Admin settings, since both fields are required to not be empty.
Documents that are checked out will not be displayed to end users from within the Move command window from Analytics or Service Desk, because users cannot move documents that are already checked out.

Service Desk Updates

When exporting documents from Service Desk, information on any checked out metadata is now included with the export, such as “Checked Out Date” and “Checked Out By (User)”.

Request Workflow Usability

Request Workflow is now sorted alphabetically instead of the creation date so it is easier for users to find their workflow.
