Hard Deletions

 

Overview

Hard Delete is a process of removing information permanently from CAM database along with related system. Once you perform Hard Delete job, you cannot restore the information.

You can remove bulk of information permanently using Hard Delete CSV job upload.

You can perform Hard Delete CSV job on the following -

  • User

  • Groups

  • Projects (Matter)

Supported Hard Delete CSV Fields

Users

  • You can set Hard Delete value =1 to remove the user(s) and their details permanently from CAM database using the following CSV fields

  • Using Hard Delete CSV job upload, you can remove bulk of users and their details permanently

FirstName

Specify the first name of the user.

Specify the last name of the user.

MiddleName

Specify the middle name of the user.

Specify user name which displayed on the CAM web UI.

PrimaryEmail

Specify the user valid email id which used for registration on CAM.

SecondaryEmail

Specify an alternative email id if user provided during registration.

UserId

Specify the user id, provided during registration on CAM

Type

Specify the type on which to perform Hard Delete operation.

Group

Specify the group name, the user added or assigned in the group.

String - Abc_matter

DeleteFromCAM

Specify the value 1 to remove the user information from the CAM

The default value is 1.

Integer - 1

HardDelete

Specify the value 1 to remove the user information permanently from the CAM and remove user record from database.

The default value is 1.

Groups

  • You can set Hard Delete value =1 to remove the group(s) and their details permanently from CAM database using the following CSV fields

  • Using Hard Delete CSV job upload, you can remove bulk of groups and their details permanently

Type

Specify the type to be removed groups and their details from the CAM and database. Default type is Group.

DisplayName

Specify the group display name, configured during group creation.

String - ABC matter

DeleteFromCAM

Specify the value 1 to remove the group information from the CAM. The default value is 1.

Integer - 1

HardDelete

Specify the value 1 to remove the user information permanently from the CAM and remove user record from database.

The default value is 1.

Project (Matter)

  • You can set Hard Delete value =1 to remove the matter(s) and their details permanently from CAM database and related systems using the following CSV fields

  • Using Hard Delete CSV job upload, you can remove bulk of matters and their details permanently

Allows users to delete matters from the CAM.

Specify database name from where the matter records to be removed.

HardDelete

Specify the value 1 to remove the user information permanently from the CAM and remove user record from database.

The default value is 1.

Integer - 1

Tip: Metadata can also be deleted from CAM and a related DMS through a CSV file including the HardDelete parameter. For more information, click here.

Note: If you plan to set workspaces with no templates in the Workspace Wizard or CSV Import, you will need to setup a metadata field for NoTemplate in CAM.

This format would be:

  • Metadata name= NoTemplate

  • Type= boolean

  • Value= 1 if you want to set no template. 0 if you want a template set.
