More information:

  • SPM can support using special characters in user and group creation since SPM supports those.

Warnings:

  • A dot character (.) in your execution is treated as a separator. Don’t use it unless you intend on separating entries.

  • A pipe | symbol is used to separate two values in a column and it cannot be used as a separator. For example, separating client and matter by doing client|matter is not supported.

Use Cases for Deletions or Disabling

  1. Disabling a user

    1. If a user becomes disabled in Active Directory, CAM will see that change when the active Directory DU sync runs, and push the change to SPM. In SPM, the Enable form will remain unchecked.

  2. Deleting a user

    1. If a user is marked as deleted in Active Directory, CAM will see that change when the active Directory DU sync runs, and push the change to SPM. After completed, searching for the user in SPM will yield no results.
